[Solari Enodia]

Thank you, SkullTraill and Wizard Forums, for maintaining this space. This is like an astral meeting place for all of us. I'm a solitary eclectic, and it's not always easy to find such. I titled my journal Lux graphia, a play on the idea of projecting light to create letters and images. My growth initially came from books that flowed onto the occult sections of the local bookstore, along with what gleanings I could get from our school's Library.

I began with books on witchcraft, side by side with books on shamanism. Namua Rahesha's Spirit of Shamanism introduced me to the chakra system, while Kathryn Paulsen's Complete Book of Magic and Witchcraft offered insights into the laws of magic.

Years later, I find myself following a path of glyph magick. Mystical letters, sacred geometry, signs, and symbols are both my tools in causing change in accordance with will. It is not sigil magick though the sigils can also be used. It is more runecraft but does not only use runes.

I'll be using this journal both help me organize my thoughts and also to help preserve them.

I hope anyone who drops by can also share insights.

Lux Graphia ("writing with Light")... this sounds so interesting and solar in nature . I am interested in sigils and mystical writings so, when you want, feel free to share them here, as it will surely benefit others as well besides me.

One of my interests when it comes to symbolism in my magical studies has been the cube of Metatron. I find it really awesome as to how it relates to the Sun in various Gnostic and Mystical traditions, as Metatron is an Archangel visualized as emerging from the solar center from the heart / the Solar chakra.

I am sure your writings will be very enlightening.

Merry meet, Aeternus. And thank you. Your reply is a much-needed encouragement for someone new like me on this forum.

Like you, I also find the interrelations of the lore/mysteries. Metatron is also a scribe, a fitting archangel for one following the magick of written light. It's also just as awesome how the chakra system traverses boundaries. This will be part of my next entry.

Tools of Glyph Magick

Stocking the magickal cabinet can be fun. Here's an experience I had a couple of decades ago.

One of my closest friends left home and needed a place to stay. I began to organize my room to accommodate two. I had a small cabinet. Its height allowed its top surface to serve as an altar, while the interior served as storage for magickal paraphernalia. I had to sacrifice it to serve a new function: storing my friends' clothes and personal possessions. I set out to take care of the things that were once inside. I minimized those that I kept. These included my dagger, tarot cards, some crystals, a bell, and a chalice. As I regret having to dispose of the other ingredients kept in the cabinet, I consoled myself with the realization.

I don't need all of these.

I am the magic.

The real tools are us. The parts that constitute us.

That's also part of why we have to respect our path, craft, or whatever one calls it, since one of the most important components that make us who we are is our soul.

Situated between the physical body and the soul are our channels. The chakras are nodes that allow energy, and thus our magick, to pass through between the spirit and the body. They allow us to touch and even walk through both the physical reality and the realms of spirit and possibility.

Some describe them as swirling vortices of light, each with a particular color.

The tantric yoga system describes them as lotus flowers, with particular colors and a particular set of petals.

Around the time of the pandemic, as I pursued training following Schultz's "Call Adonoi," I saw my chakras as clear pools of liquid. The color is so light that the pools might as well be plain mirrors, and the colors are visible only along their borders. The epiphany from the experience was that the mage's or wizard's magic mirror is not an actual mirror. They are the chakras once cleared and purified.

A bit of reading

Fiction sometimes contains the wisdom for our various mystical crafts. Sometimes fiction is fiction. Sometimes fiction can be unnecessary drama.

I once read a short story in which a young student mage requested an audience with her uncle, a legendary warrior.

The uncle remarked on how infrequently mages like her would be associating with warriors like him. That part of the dialogue emphasized how warriors trained physically to the disregard of intellectual pursuits, and vice versa, for wizards and mages.

I found that unappealing. It would be difficult for a mage to be spiritually strong if the body is neglected.

Linking to my post yesterday. Body, soul, the chakras are our magickal equipment. A significant requirement for us is to take care of our bodies. Another half is that we keep emotionally healthy.

Each chakra has a corresponding body part and emotion.

Activating and developing the chakras does not mean we meditate and then the organs get clean and the emotions get better.

Part of the challenge of cleansing the chakras is encountering a beast we must slay.

That's actually the greatest weakness within us.
