I dunno if it's possible - arguably anything's possible... but this type of thinking feels off to me. This person worked hard and had to face repeated personal tragedies. Maybe they were a really good host, or the food was great; making a restaurant successful depends on so many factors, and the fact that your friend isn't doing well is no reason to think that someone who did was using black magic.

there can be mundane reasons for her doing well, maybe she works harder because she has nothing else left and that's why she's successful. Okay guys,
I just want to tell you that I’ve actually known her since I was a kid.
She was even very close to my family.
It turns out she’s also my relative.
I’m just not sure if she’s from my mom’s side or my dad’s side.

Back then, she was really kind.

to everyone.

The restaurant owner’

And this was before the tragedy happened to her family.
She had already started acting strange.

seeing how rude she was.

Since that change, I stopped visiting her restaurant.

I heard the news that her husband had died.

Not long after, her son died too.

Because her family’s deaths happened so recently.
