Turning off automerge in a Journal?

Is there any way of turning off the automerge function in my Journal? If not, please reply anything to my first post, even it's by merely adding a full stop, I don't want to create a whole wall of text here after all.

My original plan was to write seperate entries like in a blog, not to create a single long-ass posted that can't be edited within the regulation five-minute window. Thanks!

I believe there has to be a certain time between the posts for them not to merge. But if you post garbage it probably won't matter if the interval is 1 day or 1 month and it will always merge

I do believe you need to wait 24h in journals for automerge to turn off

I was equally interested in turning it off for posts in other forums too, not just journals.
