What are you already doing?
Let's ensure that what you're doing is fundamentally correct. You might be doing everything right, but have one weird or wrong element (like casting a spell near a powerful Wi-Fi router).
But to answer; I like incense a lot. And not just generic incense, but incense that's been made with the same care, intent, and purpose as your spell. When burning the incense, you experience more than just an olfactory response—there's a magical one as well that is aligned with your spells intent.

Not sure if you need demons for that. Just understand your own patterns/programming and change them accordingly.

Enhancing their evocation is one thing and not necessarily tied to results. If you want to enhance the evocation, you need to work on training your own psychic / astral senses to communicate with them and you need to work on the ritual method itself. Training with meditation and a good spiritual routine will help with the first part; there are plenty of resources to help with the development of those faculties. Enhancing the ritual method is where things require experimentation and this applies to more than just the financially oriented goetic spirits. Some possibilities include:
1. Incorporate different techniques from different works - You probably use some sort of baseline ritual method inspired either from the traditional Solomonic approach or something based more on daemonolatry. Whatever your method, you need to remember that the ritual is just a protocol to establish communication with the spirit and this protocol contains elements that can improve or suppress the ability to reach the spirit. So different techniques from available works can be amazingly helpful to incorporate into your own method. My method was based off of "The Goetia of Dr. Rudd" with adding elements from "Demons of Magick" and occasionally "Lucifer and the Hidden Demons". The main elements I am talking about respectively were the evocation keys and pathworkings for specific goetic spirits. I found these to help improve the connection when I applied them just before calling to the spirit to appear. You should explore different works and see what techniques can be used from them.
2. Being creative with offerings - Offerings are always a powerful way to improve your results. You should not only leave offerings to the spirit, but also apply some thought into it. This includes thinking about the type of offering you should give to the spirit by doing the research on the spirit itself to find the best suited offering. There are many lists and tables of correspondences out there for what can be offered to a spirit with some based on planetary / elemental / other symbolic associations and others based on what occultists discovered on what the spirit likes via direct experience. Either way, the choice of the offering can give the spirit energy and motive to more effectively manifest your result. But you also need to be creative with the protocol that you use for your offering. One way I prefer, and is quite popular, is to start with a smaller "pre-offering" which is given before the result is delivered and then give the main offering when the spirit delivers. This "pre-offering" gives the spirit the battery needed to help with its manifestation of the result and the offering, which is usually larger than the pre-offering, gives the motive / incentive to deliver fully. This does not necessarily help with manifestation of the spirit in evocation, but it does tend to help with results.
3. Use of different ritual elements - Beyond techniques for aiding manifestation in point 1, others have pointed out to the use of tools like incense in order to help with the evocation. An appropriately selected incense can definitely help with manifestation by creating a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere for the spirit, but one can usually go further if desired. Tools from the old grimoires, such as the lamen, the triangle, the circle, etc can be helpful in creating a more "visible" response in the evocation. But I do not find these to be that necessary overall because the spirit does not absolutely need these to manifest. You may also consider using special oils or something called a "fluid condenser" in order to aid the manifestation of a spirit, especially if you use a mirror for your evocation to scry. I have not tried yet, but the fluid condenser could be quite helpful. For this, you should look up the chapter on fluid condenser in "Initiation into Hermetics" by Franz Bardon and also read relevant parts in "The Practice of Magical Evocation" (also by Bardon). Experimentation can help here too.
Beyond these, I think you may have to accept limitations to how strong your evocations are going to be. Unless if you have clairvoyance or other psychic senses finely tuned, you may just to have to accept that when you call a spirit, it will come. Many do this and with a properly structured ritual and good research, the correct spirit should come. Ultimately, it is better to assume that the spirit has come after you called it and just deliver your petition. I do it like this and I managed to get results, so I assume it worked for me. It is better than nothing at all.
As for urgent situations, demons will only be able to help a situation as far as they are able to. If you are at risk of being evicted tomorrow and you call a demon to help you out in this emergency, it might be able to delay the eviction or help manifest an emergency source of money. But there are limits to what it, or anything spirit, can do in this situation. Certain spirits are more suited to others for this type of "emergency", but there is equally the chance that they cannot help. But if it is an emergency situation, then you should still do the ritual and maximise the offerings you can provide at that moment. You should explain the situation and its urgency as precisely, but powerfully as you can and be done with the ritual. After that, you do what you can to help fight the bad situation and that is unfortunately all you can do. In my experiences with practical magick, there are limits to what a goetic spirit (or any spirit) can do and our own ability to target our magical rituals is what largely determines the level of help they can provide. Urgent situations usually end up being situations that were not planned for or prepared for in some way and these situations are the ones with the highest levels of resistance to them, which means that they are the harder nuts for magick to crack.
