Before you - one of the works of the famous occultist of the XX century Arthur Edward Waite. Arthur Waite, who figures in history primarily as the creator of the most famous Tarot deck, left behind a rich legacy of books. Although this book is positioned by the author as a “basic textbook for beginners” in the occult sciences, its contents may also be of great interest to “advanced users”.
In addition to an introductory tour of many forgotten and existing occult movements, the textbook contains a detailed description of some rituals, a critical analysis of superstitions, a description of cases of mediumism, practical methods and conditions necessary for summoning spirits, confirmed by numerous experiments, and much more.
The value of this textbook is enhanced by the extracts used by the author, taken from rare and ancient treatises, many of which will obviously never be translated into modern European languages.
