[TTRIGGER WARNING: THIS POST IS NOT LIKE IT SOUNDS. I AM HERE ONLY TO OFFER HELP TO THOSE WHO MIGHT BE NEGATIVELY AFFECTED BY THIS "CURSE"].
__________

TL;DR: To successfully manipulate the "blue" curse I keep the bright lights off and the dim light on (esp. around mirrors).

I have blue eyes. Growing up I was obsessed with the color blue -I'd say a little too much (ie. favored blue-eyed friends. I know this made me much more less likely to open-up to all walks of life so I could learn at a normal pace).

By the way, my dad & older step-brother had dark brown eyes. I learned that brown-eye folks are very welcoming to strangers & have a good sense of humor and do not take things to seriously.

Me? Unfortunately, I was the opposite of those things. This led to me being ADD (as a kid) and SCHIZ (as an adult).

For many, many years: In the bathroom I would wash my hands and in the mirror I sometimes couldn't help but "dive" into this "curse" just staring at myself -dumbfounded! Yes, I know this ia creepy I do not intend to come-off as racist or whatever poltical things we are thinking at this moment.

Anyways,

Just last year I decided to challenge this curse by shutting-off the overhead light and use only the nightlight. What was the result?

This action has lifted the curse for me.

I hope this method helps those who were in my "creepy" situation

You might have Photophobia. I'm not an eye doctor so I can't make an official diagnosis so don't completely take my work for it. Its just a might.
Heres a video explaining it. Its basically sensitivity to light and people with blue eyes might be more likely to develop this due to less melanin. I know this because I had a friend with blue eyes who had the same thing or something similar.
