If you hiave used them did they give results? do you have to look at the hebrew letters of the pslams ? do you have to say them in Hebrew or can you say them in English?

Yes, I have the three books, I use them regularly for different uses. Have they given better results than other types of magic? Not really, they are useful and work, I like to use them because people accept more easily if I tell them I will pray a psalm over them to help them rather than a magical formula. Useful, but not world changing.

I have just started using them. They seem very gentle ways of changing things. Do you do them in English?

For the christian magical uses I find that the Latin version works just as well, but for Hebrew tradition I'm doing my best to recite them in Hebrew.
I should experiment the byzantine magical uses by reciting them in Greek, actually

Interesting... do you look at the hebrew script also... and would you look at the greek script for Byzantine versions? You get results then - using the christian magical uses. I am trying the Jacobus Swart version. It requires quite a long pre-psalm reading (form book 1) befoer going on to do thje psalms. I sometimes want to do more than one psalm, but I dont re-do the pre-psalm bit when I do this.
I hope that is OK. Im interested in what gets results and it sounds like you might not be doing this pre-psalm bit and still get results.

I can read Ancient Greek, so if I recite in greek I look at the actual script.
My Hebrew is way worse (I can write the alphabet and recognize a few words, but not read directly from the script) so I'm using the transliteration from Swart while I slowly learn.

I don't do the pre-Salm for the latin recitations, but I did it the few times I did the Hebrew recitations. I also use one psalm per time, but it may be an interesting experiment to combine a few of them

Good idea. Do you find them effective when you use them?

Well it's not exactly traditional, but if you want to have a stronger magical effect you can use the psalms to conjure the shem angel (together with it's attendants if you want). This turns it from a simple prayer into a ritual. I found it really effective to do so.

Hi, are the Shem Angels easy to conjure via the Psalm method? I tried the GOM sigils, but no response from them.

You might also want to check the book of immediate magic. It gives you the key to make sure they are listening to you. Also GOM follows an alternative psalm attribution to the Shem, which I was advised to not follow.

is this as straightforward as reciting the psalm + calling the shem angel's name 3 times? or are there additional steps.

Adding candles and specific oils/planets also helps. See the Psalm book of Jake Kent.

The Swart psalms verses are the traditional hebrew ones (GOM and others uses the Hermeneutic tradition psalms which in about 40 cases differ from the original hebrew ones). I would recommend this method: 1) Use the 72 names chapter from the Book of Magical Names where the Shem qualities and psalm verses are described 2) Use the traditional hebrew kabbalistic method of SILENTLY reciting the Shem name (not vocalizing it) while scanning from right to left the name 3) Use the "shortcut" formula for calling the specific Shem. You can see the formula for each Shem in this video of one of the experienced Kabbalah Center teachers:

If you want to hear the pronunciation of each 3-word-formula used this excellent video:

After each "shortcut" formula scan and read if possible in hebrew the psalm verse associated with the Shem name you want to use. You can find the verse in the 72 names chapter of swart or in this short summary on scribd,

If you want to hear the hebrew vocalization the the verses associated with each Shem watch this video, you can cut it for each segment if you want.

. Good luck PS: At the end of your visualization / meditation I recommend a "license to depart" formula in order to dissipate any residual energies from the ritual
Let there be no side effects.
Let there be no unintended consequences.
Let there be no symptoms of the monkey's paw.
Let there be only that which I seek to manifest.
Let there be exactly that which I seek to manifest.
Let there be nothing but what I seek to manifest.
For this I give you thanks and praise, O you angels that have come to my request.
In the Name of the Lord-of-the-Earth-Who-Is-King-Forever I thank you and praise you!
In the Name of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, I thank you and praise you!
In the name of the Holy Spirit proceeding from the Father and the Son and encircling all creation I thank you and praise you!
Be there peace and friendship between us at all times and in all places, may your names be made better known by the results you manifest upon this physical plane, and in gladness shall we meet again whether by serendipity or when called.
As you angels have come in peace, so go in peace and may the light of the Creator accompany you on your way. Amen.
