Im just starting out, I have a bit of a short attention span, and I've noticed white magick grimoires/books/systems are always extremely intricate requiring hours upon hours of learning hebrew symbols, and special materials like special stones and such, I have little in the way of time to learn all that or the money to get the materials for this sort of thing, or rather I shouldn't go all in on these things until I get a good sense of them.

Anyone know some less resource intensive and straightforward books/systems for Practical White Magick for a beginner to get started with?

There are a lot of folk witch procedures that are short and result based, quite possible with herbs just out of your supermarket, a piece of fabric, cheap materials etc. Drawing a sigil on a bay leaf having a intention and throwing it in the fire can be enough to have results. White, black or grey? That is up to the practitioner if one wants to define and if, how one wants to define.

An additional alternative system would be pathworking. There are books that have been written using Raziel as a gateway to access other entities.

As AlfrunGrima says, a lot of folk magic offers practical boons using very common ingredients and simple procedures. Nigel Pennickโ€™s Operative Witchcraft contains a number of charming hedge recipes involving catchy quasi-christian incantations, ward ingredients like bread crusts, and a hand-washing trick to improve oneโ€™s ability to tend fires. I am also curious if anyone has further recommended reading in this vein.

On second thought, my suggestion may not be appropriate for this subforum. But in that field you will certainly find a lot of relatively simple โ€œtricksโ€ that donโ€™t take elaborate study.
